Missing

Its days like this that I miss Mexico, but it wasn't Mexico that I was thinking about today...

I have a sister, this one not by birth, but by pinky blood. She used to live here in Canada, coming to our country in 1999. Her family was one of approximately 5,500 refugees who landed here after being forced from her only home in Kosovo.

Oh the years we spent together...

Her family made the decision to go back to there city in Fushe, build a new home and make a new life in the NATO controlled country of Kosovo.

We got a new employee last week at work... Guess what! She is Albanian, met my sister when they arrived that year back in 1999.

And today we are thinking...my new friend and I, of making a trip to a far away place they go to every Summer =)
