Hail and farewell

On this local path we've lost a tree to the recent storms but the fresh green shoots of wild garlic are a welcome sight. A few more days and there would have been enough to garnish the cawl I made for supper.

Despite the weak sunshine it was another day of cold wind and showers - but no hail. The odd celandine is struggling to bloom and on the coast path there was some bladder campion in flower. Birds twitter and tweet, frogs spawn. Roll on Spring.
