Apres le deluge

Well it's rained ever since I arrived in Bergen - 6 days with barely a break. So with the sun peeking through the clouds at 5pm it was a quick decision to jump out of the taxi home at Floibanen and head up to the spectacular view of the city from Mt Floyen.

It was 2006 when I was last up here - a blazing June day with a replica viking longship sailing down the fjord towards the city (which also presaged two solid weeks of grey, rainy weather inter-railing round Scandinavia).

From pretty much every angle Bergen is such a beautiful place. Best viewed LARGE
