Out of sorts

I'm not entirely well this evening. I ended up staying late at work watching the passing of the Public Bodies Bill in Parliament (an online broadcast) and then I ran home afterwards.

There was something wrong with my legs, I could barely run. My calf muscles felt extremely hard and almost bloated. I ended up walking home in the rain. I didn't really think anything of it - sometimes my legs just don't work.

When I got home I was starving, so I made my tea. An aubergine, cherry tomato and garlic bake with a baked potato. Aubergine was my favourite vegetable and this is a dish I make really frequently, because I loved it so much. I fear that might be over.

Half way through, I suddenly stopped and then was violently sick. I barely made it to the bathroom (and if you knew how small my flat is you know that means it's serious). It took a good 10 minutes before I could stand without retching.

There was absolutely nothing wrong with the food. So the internet tells me that other likely causes can be a stomach viral infection, blocked intestine, appendicitis, migraines or stomach flu. I really hope it isn't any of those!

Now I'm lying on the sofa with a headache, shivering slightly despite being under a blanket next to the heater, and feeling pretty miserable. I don't want to move as my stomach is feeling quite delicate. So the best blip I can muster is my slippers. Hopefully this will pass soon :(
