Dancing on the Bougainvillea
A solitary

The Northern Mockingbird has become very vocal this month. I think he might also have some company. It likes to perch at the top of the bougainvillea where it puts the run on the little birds that congregate there. I understand that mockingbirds are territorial and this one certainly demonstrates that. It pays no attention to the feeders, on the ground or in the tree. My research says it likes bugs, fruit/berries and sometimes small lizards. (Look out, Larry!) The Northern Mockingbird has a repertoire of 10 to 15 songs, all of which are delightful to listen to. Sometimes I can hear one in the dark of night.
(See Larry, the Lizard here.)
