Architect's plans

So, we're moving into a 3 bedroomed house with 4 children. Clearly, we need an extra bedroom and probably an extra room downstairs, given that we have a girl and 3 boys, and given that we may all need our own space from time to time!
After much deliberation over which builders and conservatory stockists to use, we worked on the premise that word of mouth counts for a lot, so nipped to neighbours who recently had an extension built, for a recommendation.
This morning I tee'd up the builders to visit and give us a quote at 1 o'clock on Sat. Just on spec, I also phoned Amber Valley Council for some tips on planning permission. It seems we need architect's drawings first, so Richard obliged with a quick cost-cutting sketch!
