You go Girl!

Congratulations to D1, who won the "State Championship Shoot Out" competition today. (I realize we live in a country with provinces, but the person who organized the awards may not have).
On the left is the provincial award that she won today. In the middle is the medal you can just barely see for the district champ, and on the right is the award for the region with the balls and the shoes. Now her score goes in against girls her age from all the provinces and states in North America.
This past summer we took her to the Carli Lloyd soccer camp. It was an awesome experience for D1 to meet and train with an Olympian who had won a gold medal. Then we left New Jersey and went to Washington DC to see the Washington Freedom play the Boston Breakers. Erin McLeod signed our program, she just happens to be Canada's national team goalie.
I framed the pictures tonight and thought I'd show them off. "Gush". :) It was a busy day of carting the kids around to their various activities. As you may probably know it's is worth all of the driving time to see confident healthy young women.

On another note I am wondering if anyone notices that I try hard to mix up the type of pictures I put up every day. I have something special planned in a few weeks from now. I can't wait. It's almost as good as Christmas!!!
