Oh the Excitement!

Excuse the very poor quality of this picture but I had to blip this, the very first time I have seen a short eared owl!!
I know that may not get everyone excited but you will just have to bear with me. Jackson and I were walking stumbling across the marshy moorland above Froggatt Edge when we disturbed a bird. I realised it was an owl and not a usual one. It flew a short distance off and perched on the amazing sheep fold on that bit of moorland to watch us approach.
Definitely a short eared owl, a winter visitor to our parts and very exciting!
