No more berries

Many berries have now been eaten by the birds or have fallen to the ground. I've not noticed the woody outer casings left on Spindle bushes (Euonymus europaeus) before - a bit like the claws on a ring, with the stone missing. With the berries gone and birds now building nests, I hope we don't get a really cold spell.
