Quaich
A Quaich is a shallow two-handled Scottish drinking cup. Originally made out of wood, the men would hang them from their belts. They would use these to scoop water from a burn (stream) as they travelled.
Today they are made of silver or pewter. At a Burns Supper, I have seen the Piper being presented with a quaich, containing his dram of whisky.
This handle detail is a Celtic design.
