#24 Water-Slain
DDW February Challenge #24 Water-Slain
The dictionary lists at least three archaic and/or provincial words for land saturated by water: water-slain, water-shaken, and water-swolled. This water-shaken picture was taken in the same area the volatils were seen yesterday. The leach or lease (L challenge words), a large pond or small lake, stretches off to the right. The southwest side, which you can see in the foreground, is water-slain, with fairly deep waters surrounding a fence (out of sight on the lower right) that normally sits on dry land. It will be interesting to see how this place changes with the seasons, which I hope to document here.
