Horsetail Fall, Yosemite

Another beautiful, sunny day started with a (rather steep) climb up to Vernal Falls. Unfortunately, we couldn't quite make it to the top as the last 0.3 mile was closed due to rock falls. However, the scenery on the way up certainly made the climb worthwhile!

Just before sunset we headed off to Yosemite Valley to try and catch the Fire Falls. This only happens for a couple of weeks in February and if the conditions are right the setting sun hits the waterfall cascading over El Capitan and turns it a bright orangey/red. This was our third attempt and it was third time lucky - the colours were amazing and the best of the three nights.
