Home again
I woke up today with a bit of headache relief. Jess made is a lovely breakfast with a spread of eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, hash browns, and tea. I was in heaven. It was so nice of her to have us for the long weekend. Even though I was in bed with a debilitating migraine for half of it, I still managed to have a great time and it's all thanks to her. My friends enjoyed themselves too. (If you're reading this, hi Jess! Thank you so much again for everything. You rock. Love ya!)
Today's travels were perfectly executed. The times were just right. We woke up at 11 (yes that's 8 hours of sleep people, soak it in), ate breakfast, and headed to the airport around 1. Our flight was at 3:10 and we were home by about 5. We took the shuttle to termini and then the subway home and we made it back by about 6:30. We got pizza for dinner after mass. My god did you think it was possible to miss pizza after being away for just 5 days? You betcha. It most definitely is.
After dinner we all went back to the room and I FaceTimed my mom and dad, and I kinda got to see a bit of my family while we were at it too. It was lovely. I miss home a lot but I think it's just my FOMO kicking in. Now I know how Rory feels.
Anyways, we went for some gelato and got back to our room and got ready for bed. I watched a couple episodes of House of Cards instead of doing my homework which, in hindsight, was totally worth it.
Tomorrow starts module two. I was really spoiled with my one-class-three-days-a-week schedule last module, and it was an easy class to boot. Now it's time to buckle down and get serious. A semesters worth of biochemistry and pharmacology in just under 5 weeks? Boy is that wake up call gonna hit me like a ton of bricks.
