This amazing sunrise greeted me too early this morning. And this is SOOC. (I have kindly been given the correct abbreviation now.) And we haven't had the rain this old proverb usually predicts - in fact it's been a bright day all through.

My little troupers produced some brilliant holiday scrapbooks of the weather crisis around the country and proudly shared them. Most had visited the local rugby pitch lake and had done their share of paddling in it too. (Never mind the "beware of contamination" notice...)

Had to remind them today that LISTEN and SILENT are spelt with the same letters, and that you can't do the one without being the other....
We seem to need frequent reminding of that one.
