Syrinx
Syrinx was awarded a medal for the best sculpture of the year by the a royal Society of British Sculptors in 1925. Syrinx is the name of a beautiful girl who attracted the unwanted advances of the lustful Pan in Greek mythology.

I took this shot in the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. I like the way the marble is so bright against the dark stone. This is the way she appeared to me when I turned round so I decided just to take just a glimpse of her.
