Room with a view

Back in the lakes and layered up with two sleeping bags, surprisingly comfy!

I drove up to the lakes with a friend today with a view to doing some walking and photo taking. That was about as much planning that took place and as a result we arrived at one in the morning after a 6 hour drive, with no where to stay.

After some deliberation about wild camping next to a lake in the wind and wet ground, we luckily managed to find a national trust camp site and set up there. After a cold night we awoke to find a pretty dismal weather forecast on the camp reception wall. Not ones to be deterred we still made it into the hills and had an enjoyable, if a bit bleak, day. Chess and a Guinness finished the day off nicely!
