More flow!
The blue thing Tinus is examining is the actuator of the main condensate regulating valve on the feedwatertank of unit EC 7.
When the unit is at full load the valve is not opening enough.
Result of that is that the level in the condenser is increasing and in the feedwatertank is decreasing.
To pump more water up we start the standby pump but that's not a very good solution.
So the valve has to be opened just a little bit more to let more water pass through it.
We first checked out if we could open it a little bit more on manual control and that worked.
Now we adjusted (faked) the zero position in the valve actuator to keep it on auto.
Result: a little bit more flow (from 340 kg/sec to 350 kg/sec) and that might just be enough.
Here Tinus is making preparations to adjust the regulator and Doran is looking if Tinus is doing it the right way, keeping his hands off....
