Forth and Carse

The River Forth is quite narrow in its upper reaches and only really broadens as it approaches Stirling and is joined by the Teith and the Allanwater. Between Aberfoyle and Stirling it meanders gently through the rich farm land of the Carse of Stirling. After the heavy rain of the last couple of days the river bends are seen quite clearly from the top of Gillies Hill. I wish though it had been a bit brighter this afternoon.
