Souvenir of youth

Those of you of a 'certain age' in the UK may remember the time when all motor bikes had a front number plate. Unfortunately, this was a bit like riding round with a carving knife on your front mudguard, and in the event of an accident you could do some serious harm either to yourself or to any unfortunate person who happened to be in your way. The 'powers that be' saw sense and removed the requirement so as I was a biker at the time, off it came. The bike has long since gone, I'm afraid, but the front number plate lives on. As it was already a black and white item, it makes a suitable 'Mono Monday' entry!
