The DDW February alphabet challenge is W

W is for Walkers Warrington Ales. A little piece of Liverpool history, (as I understand it). A brewery was started by Peter Walker of Ayrshire, eventually family members entered the brewing business and in 1864 started brewing in Warrington and in Burton upon Trent. Over the years there have been take overs and amalgamations, but this Liverpool pub carries the name prominently, and others have windows with the name still displayed in the glass.
Another family member, living in the city, founded the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool.
