Bishop Burton

Last bridge day of the winter in the Village Hall at Bishop Burton, an estate village with a large Agricultural College and beautiful grounds, just outside Beverley.

Hint of spring in the air today and some bright sunshine which made the white washed cottages look very pretty.

The village pub the 'Altisidora' was named after a race-horse owned by a former lord of the manor that won the St Ledger in the mid 19th century and is popular with locals and visitors alike. We popped in after bridge!
