Striated Heron

This little fellow was very accommodating, I saw him so many times and he was always willing to pose! I got so close on this occasion :-) There were many small rays of different muted colours, swimming around in this shallow lagoon. I got some photos with both in but this was my preferred shot.


There was also a grey heron (probably several!) on the island who was fun to watch, especially when he was fishing!
