Dead Prickly
A perfect day so far.
A quick zip down to the local supermarket at 8am to try and buy a Playstation 3 for david77 as requested. Bad luck as they were all sold out on Friday with queues out of the building.
Breakfast in the metropole with the papers, a free wheel (almost!) down to Portobello beach with daughter#1, and a stroll along the prom taking photos of all the people and dogs out enjoying the sun. I even saw my cormorant perched on his perch waiting for me to blip him, but I resisted the temptation. Then a cup of hot chocolate sitting on the sea wall chatting to friends and a leisurely cycle home through Duddingston village and a traffic free Holyrood Park,( this being Sunday).
Home to a peaceful and quiet house with his Lordship out, and a relaxing hour with more papers before getting round to sewing up a knitted Christmas present. I like the knitting part but the sewing up is the crucially difficult part, if the garment is to look good.
Today's blip is of very dead and dried up thistles which grace the community garden just off the prom, The ground in the garden is completely covered with tons of sea shells and looks lovely.
