Pit Stop

This pub is our first stop on our journey to Devon. I have to say it seemed a long time coming on the journey today. Although it looks a lot older the Botany Bay was built in the 1920s. The name relates to the history of the 'Red Post' located a quarter of a mile away. This was where the first prisoners sent to Australia from Dorchester courts stayed for the night, prior to being deported to Botany Bay.
