Fusion cuisine

My sister in law, Kim, is Malaysian, and made us a tasty noodle stir fry for dinner tonight. Hannah, my neice, is making a noodle sandwich. When I first met D and came to visit him at his parents' house in St Helens back in 1981,I was shocked to see people eating chips between two slices of bread (a chip butty). "All that carbohydrate!" exclaimed my 19 year old Southern self. I have been teased about it ever since.
