Memories of summers past

This rose flowered in the summer and then as autumn arrived it through out another bunch of buds but the few warm days it needed never arrived.
When the snow came the rose disappeared from sight but now the snow is sinking down and the plant reappears. It is both a sad reminder of the summer that was and an optimistic reminder that spring will arrive in a month or two.
