Gold!

The faithful gathered in a hostelry of the opposition team.
Tension ran high.
Fingers were crossed.

Relief flooded in as the final score was confirmed: Canada 3 - 0 Sweden. The men's hockey medal was retained by the incumbent winners. For the men's and women 's teams to win gold in both hockey and curling is a Canadian's dream come true. These games, in particular hockey, is as close as we come to having a national religion.
