Corydalis popovii

Corydalis is a genus ranging from garden weeds to exquisite and beautiful plants coveted by those who encounter them. Todays example grows wild in the Pamir-Alai mountains in Central Asia. From a corky tuber, it sends up many shoots which carry these striking flowers. I raised mine from seed many years ago and it is easy to grow in a pot kept in a cold frame, dry in summer.
