Helau

We were in Düsseldorf at lunchtime to collect my outfit for Thursday's Rathaus Storming (don't ask, patience is a virtue you know) and thought to get lunch in the Altstadt.

Had not realised there would be a battle of the bands going on. There were men in wigs, men in cloaks of many colours, men on horses, more men in wigs, men with capes and wigs and not as many women dressed so flamboyantly as you would expect, Karneval (or at least the Sunday before Weiberfastnacht*, which in my head shall forever be known as Bandday) is clearly a day for the boys.
