Open Doors Day

I loved this door it makes me think of our programme running later this year during Adult Learners' Week. We've run an Open Doors Day since 1992 and it's hugely successful, with people popping in and trying something new.

Looking at this door image got me thinking about the many firsts we've developed, and reminded me of how grateful I am to the many people who have over the past twenty years or so, helped us achieve much of what we are delivering now.

The door image got me thinking about a quote that I came across earlier this month by Ralph Waldo Emerson, 'Be an opener of doors for such as come after thee, and do not try to make the universe a blind alley'. The quote means to be a trailblazer, and open new paths and opportunities for those who come after you.

We're looking forward to the challenge.
