Melting around the edges

Took a nice long Sunday walk around the bay today. The ice is beginning to melt around the edges but the sea is still pretty frozen.

If you look carefully at the horizon you'll see a cargo ship travelling in the channel made by the ice-breakers. Not sure how thick the ice is in the bay - we've had unusually warm weather recently - and I haven't seen anyone out ice-fishing today.

Better not to risk it perhaps!
