Reach out.......

Eldest son Stephen was competing in the British University Orienteering Championships at Danefield near Otley.

Today was the relays with teams wearing university colours, facepaints and determined faces as they competed for the top university slot. It was great seeing so many young people that I knew. A number were part of the Yorkshire Junior Squad at the same time as Stephen. Suspect there will be lots of tired bodies wending their way back to their respective universities.

This was my first attempt at an action shot and managed to capture these two Sheffield University students at full stretch as they handed over. No baton to carry just quick contact before opening their maps and navigating their way around a course.
