Stringers Ridge
It was one of those days when you know you have to outside. Anything else would be a waste of a day. So, this morning, Tom cut up some trees that fell during the storm a couple nights ago, and I glumly cleaned up my beehive that seemed to be doing well just a few weeks ago.
Then early this afternoon we headed down to hike a quick 2 mile loop at Stringers Ridge. I've been wanting to see it for some time. Well, the trails were in good shape and well marked, but honestly, other than it's being a beautiful day, it wasn't too pretty. Lots of fallen trees and vines and branches everywhere. And privet has invaded the area. We love our close-to-home Cumberland trail hikes a bit more, but I'm glad we went anyway.
