Real Mail
When I spoke at the Women's Valentine Luncheon last Saturday, I mentioned sending Valentines, and I read some from Ted Kooser's book Valentine: Poems and read the story of how his book was developed one Valentine poem at a time and that he would mail them to a long list of women each February. Then I mentioned the wonder and the thrill of receiving real mail. So look what arrived in the real mailbox here at my house.
I was quite tickled that two of the gals would send me "Thank You" notes to express how very much they enjoyed the luncheon and the things that I shared as I did a brief talk. The wonder and the thrill was delightful.
Good night from Southern California,
