The Kelpies
The long drive to the Northern Highlands began with a very early rise at 01.20 hours.
We were due at friends in Lanarkshire for breakfast at 9 and we had a 350 journey to get there.
The breakfast was well worth the long drive and set us up for the remaining 250 miles to reach our holiday cottage.
On route, we passed The Kelpies situated just off the M9 in Falkirk. Two 30m high horse head sculptures designed by Andy Scott, conducted out of 900 tonnes of steel. Very impressive.
Unfortunately, we were travelling at speed on the motorway and I couldn't get both sculptures in one decent photo.
It's very wet and windy but we're so exhausted I don't think we'll hear it.
Good night.......
