Normanton Church - Rutland Water

Had chance to get out for a couple of hours this afternoon so I headed over to Rutland Water. It was a little further than I expected, but there was no rush as long as I got there with some light to spare.

The sun has been out a good proportion of the day and was forecast to be around until dark (well it would wouldn't it). I'd worked out that at sunset it would be heading right across the lake and lighting up the face of Normanton Church. I was hoping that some clouds would be around to add some drama to the sky.

Hope I managed it.
It was the first time I'd had chance to use the big-stopper I got a short while ago. The wind was whipping up some considerable choppiness in the water, plus, there was a constant stream of people walking up to and around the church. Nobody was hanging around though, so I was hoping that there'd be little in the way of people showing up in the image.

Had a great hour or so - covered about fifty yards shooting from just three or four positions. I think it needs a return visit to do the location justice.
