Jumpin' Jackalopes!

Today was a good day. Much better than the above shot!

Was up at the Neon Festival in Dundee (Digital Arts) and was 'Luckey' enough to hear form one of my favourite animators!

William "Bud" Luckey (born in 1934) is an American cartoonist, animator, singer, musician, and composer best known for his work at Pixar as a character designer for Toy Story, Boundin', Toy Story 2, A Bug's Life, Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo, Cars, The Incredibles, and Ratatouille.

He also did a lot of the really cool Sesame Street shorts like the Ladybug's Picnic which I love too.

They played Boundin' today - if you've not seen it you really should. It's fantastic. Almost as good as my own personal Pixar fav - 'For the Birds'. I was lucky enough to visit Pixar near San Francisco in March this year and the staff Pixar shop has to be one of my fav places on earth. Amongst other gems, I brought back a small fat blue character from that short that makes the exact noise that they do when you squeeze him - genius.
