The Bryggen

Been a few years since I spent much time in Bergen, so a quick wander past the Bryggen tonight on the way back from town. The buildings are wonky (it's not the lens) apparently due to a german ammunition ship exploding in the harbour in 1944.

I was testing out the new Fiji Finepix XP61 - a replacement waterproof camera after the demise of my latest Olympus Tough by corrosion sealing the battery and memory card doors shut. It seems that the manufacturers have got the message that even stainless and salt water don't mix and all the waterproof compacts appear to have moved over to toughened plastis. So hopefully a longer life for the XP61.
