There will be those who suggested that the blipping of public toilets in the rain indicates that my journal is 'plumbing' new depths.

Far from it. I've noticed the number of brand new looking public toilets on the streets here, and have several times wondered aloud whether the Latvians might have had an EU grant to build all of these.

As you can see, we are having a whale of a time in Riga. After surveying the public toilets at the tram/bus stop just outside the hotel, we headed off under the railway line to see the market (which you can also see in this blip). The rain has relented now, but sadly we are confined to barracks so that I can work.
