East Friesian Sheep at the Neudorf Dairy
- this breed of sheep originated in the Friesland area in the north of Holland and Germany.
- it is used as a milking breed

Neudorf Dairy, Upper Moutere, New Zealand
- The dairy is on a farm owned and managed by the Beuke family who have been on this land for many generations and on which they and their staff milk a large herd of East Friesian Sheep.
- produces sheep milk cheeses in a range of styles
- yoghurt and halloumi.

Today was very hot, sunny and busy.

Visited these places in the Neudorf area of Upper Moutere with the Historical Assn.
- the dilapidated building of Wyperserfontein. In its previous life it was a Hotel, Family home, Storage shed and now falling down
- the Neudorf Dairy where we met the Beuke family and ate lunch
- the old Neudorf Hall/School – now a family home & Gallery.
Home then off for a swim at Motueka Beach. That was so welcome and refreshing before changing and out again for part of the evening.
