Foodie Day For All
Last night the kids arrived from Portland and today I got to feed Zman some squash...he was so so about this food. I think he could take it or leave it. He is in a grunting phase right now...one where he grunts for what he wants ...the level of the volume of the grunt will change and sometimes the persistence of the grunts....it's all pretty darn cute.
In this collage you see doing my second meal that came from the blue apron website.
I made Coconut-Poached Tofu soup and it was very very delicious. Still labor intensive, but I wasn't ast tired starting out this time so it went better. Three of us were able to have a nice lunch from it---and there were still two quinoia burgers from the other meal I'd made that the kids could have.
And Big R, not to be outdone, had signed up to take a pasta making class tonight from a woman who was born and raised in Italy and taught the class in her downtown Seattle apt. He came home quite late with several new recipes and an ability to make some homemade pasta:) One sauce was vegan and made with kale and the other sauce they made had meat. He said everything was delicious. He' missed his camera shoot so he's not in the collage...but you can envision him and his pasta hands:) Goodnight from Foodieville USA
