Forest Home
It's days like this where I want to walk across campus, singing the alma mater on the top of my lungs. Sarah's response to that was, "Please don't," and "You have issues."
I made it to calc this morning, but since we were just going over integration by parts, I left early and got a smoothie. It was raining terribly this morning, but cleared up by the afternoon. We did tie-dye and leaf molds in horticulture (I'm still struggling with the idea that I get two credits for this class?), and then walked around Forest Home.
Forest Home is the part of Ithaca that's East of North Campus. It's really tiny, I'm not even sure if it's real. Super picturesque. It's sort of sandwiched in between the Wildflower Garden and the Arboretum, and bordered on the south side by Fall Creek. My original goal was to get to the Arboretum, but I forgot that the bridge I wanted to take is closed. Since I didn't feel like trekking through the muddy wildflower garden, I just went back. Regardless, it was a nice little diversion.
The weather was absolutely beautiful--40 and sunny. Ithaca is truly amazing, and I was reminded of that while walking to get dinner on West Campus with Sarah. Finished up the night with Flappy Skorton, knitting, and Misfits (which I have sorely missed).
