Magnificent....!

Where to start really! We decided the open top bus would be best while the sun was shining, and despite the wind 'up top' it was well worth it! The guide was very knowledgeable and I learnt A LOT!

Then a delicious hot chocolate drink to warm up, before a fantastic few hours in the Roman Baths exhibition, so updated since the last visit many several years ago.

The Pump Room had quite a queue so All Bar One was a great place for a relaxed sit down and a late lunch - and they gave us Smarties with our coffee!

The abbey was just beautiful and took me back to my college days and studies on cathedral vaulting. Many an embroidery and dress design got its inspiration from this truly amazing fan vaulting.

More to see and do tomorrow, including the Bath hills bus ride which came as part of yesterday's trip, the Jane Austen Centre, and Lacock, the home of photography, and The Royal Crescent.
