View on the descent of Mount Lothian

A dry day, and Sunday's bike ride might be off the cards due to stormy weather. So I did the same ride I did on Wednesday. However, it is the last day of my holiday, I have a pub lunch planned, and I head out a lot earlier.

It is also a lot windier than Wednesday, So the climb from Auchendinny to Mount Lothian was a bit of a challenge. Generally it was ok, only an occasional gust to keep me concentrating.

Only one stop planned today.This photo is one of my favourite views on the ride, which is on the descent of Mount Lothian, heading east. An old cottage in a sheltered spot set back from the road. The nature of the photograph makes the scene considerably more tranquil than it actually is.
