the turning tide
At the eastern end of Owenahincha beach there's an extended area of rocks only reachable at low tide. It's like a moonscape, all kinds of interesting strata and sea sculpted stone, and it's one of my favourite places.
But it would be easy to come unstuck there and get trapped. Today I got there at low tide and sort of lost track of time till I found myself up to my knees in swirling water, holding the camera and tripod above my head and swearing!
Lesson learned.
A good day in all. A lazy morning, and then a few hours in the polytunnel where the first-early potatoes are up, and I sowed a bed of carrots, and picked baby turnips and kale for dinner.
