Today we did something...,.,

we have not done for a long time!! We walked off the golf course before we completed our round, the reason being - it was so slow. It wasn't the fault of the group in front of us, it was the group in front of them. A four ball, who took for ever to play their shots. by the time we had got round to the 12th it had taken us 3 3/4 hours, if we had continued it would have taken us 5 hours and it would have been dark. So we made the decision to 'come in', we spoke to the caddy master, who was shocked at how slow the play was.

We went into the club house, and the wives of two of the players were sat chatting, both Roy and I told them, politely, that there husbands need to speed up their game, as 5 hours for a round of golf, particularly when there was no one in front of this group, so they were not being held up, was unacceptable, our comments went down like a lead balloon.
