St Teresa of the Child Jesus

Into the town today to get some anti-lurgy drugs, sun shining and I parked near to the Catholic Church in Princes Risborough. It was built in 1937/38 and designed by Giuseppe Rinvolucri.

It stands on the busy main road through the town and is locally known as the Jelly Mold.

My parents married here, as did my Aunt and Uncle in the 1960's.

I was christened here, made my fist communion here, made my first confession here and was confirmed here but I hold no affection for it or the beliefs it upholds........but that's a whole other story!

I visited it last year when they held an exhibition to celebrate 75 years since is was consecrated, it used to have simple sandstone statues and stations of the cross but now they have been replaced with huge coloured and gold leafed ones, so out of keeping and gopping!

Apparently when viewed from the air it resemble a rose!
