Seeds of Hope
While I took the photo, I can't take credit for the title which T suggested when I told her what my blip was going to be for the 20th.
One of the things difficult to get hold of here are fresh herbs. There are the standards, like Parsley and Coriander, but many others that I have grown up with just aren't available. So, during my last trip home, I bought packets of seeds to grow here. These pots include: Runner Beans; hot Chillis; Spinach; Curly Parsley; Coriander; Huge Tomatoes; Marjoram; Big Leaf Basil; Rosemary; Fennel; Anise; Celery; Mint; Sage; Thyme; Courgettes; and a couple that I have forgotten and for which the labels have already washed off. It will be fun to see what they were when they grow. A few, even though they were only planted last Sunday, have started to sprout - looks like the beans. When they are big enough they will be planted outside. As its is hot here all year, I'm hoping for an extended crop!
