MY FIRST SEASONAL BONFIRE
Before Spring really kicks in I need to clear the debris of remade structures, relaid hedges and coppiced woodlands. Most is still too green to 'go' but the used hazel and willow from the old globe theatre structure was amply seasoned (if a little sodden on the surface).
This mini bonfire was successfully executed between the showers. The orchard paddock (next to the Gatehouse) is now presentable with new structures installed, two young apple trees planted, several willow stools planted and caged,...and it is now cleared of brash,...and the grass has started to grow.
Spring can come anytime now at the Gatehouse but we are not yet ready for it out in the woods and alongside hedgerows!
