Custom Battery Rack Installed

My Yamaha 250SR motorcycle project is progressing nicely.

All of the wiring issues are repaired and the exhaust system is nearing completion.

Today I finished the custom battery rack to hold the newly relocated battery.

My brother supplied the metal for the bottom, sending it to me from New Jersey.

It is a piece of a discarded roadway sign that he tells me is over forty years old.

What a kick to have my brother contribute to my motorcycle project.

I had fun designing the rack utilizing the four existing hard mounting points that are already on the frame.

It’ll be interesting to see how well this rack carries a 10 pound (4.5 kg) battery for thousands and thousands of miles.
